Abstract
Forward function causes different time and results of computations, in an inversion process. This study investigated synthetic gravity data modeling by 3D Cauchy-type integral. The time efficiency of the operator and the effect of the reference surface parameter with variable distances from sediment basin boundary on accuracy of the gravity anomaly are measured. Results show robustness of Cauchy-type integral in comparison with the volume integral of gravitational field. On the other hand, when reference surface has up to 1km distance from boundaries of model, the corresponding depth could be detected accurately. This cost-effective and also precise forward operator is used to invert the gravity data of Aman-Abad plain using genetic algorithm. The maximum depth of reconstructed basement is equal to 150m. Well data shows depth of the basement about 140m and previous gravity modeling interpretation shows lower than 200m depth.
