Abstract
The purpose of this study is probabilistic seismic hazard zoning in Kermanshah region. To do this, after identifying the faults in the area and preparing seismicity and seismotectonic maps, three potential seismic regional sources have been recognized for the study area. Then, the seismic parameters of each source are calculated and along with other information available in all three areas, including the depth of the seismic zone and the parameters of the fault geometry, are given as the main input parameters of Openquake software to assess the seismic risk. Eventually, hazard maps and calculations related to the return periods of 50, 475 and 2475 years for structures with periods of 0.2, 0.8, 1 and 2 seconds have been performed. The results show the maximum acceleration in this area is equal to 1.53 g for the periodicity of 0.2 with the return period of 2475 years.
