In this study, land use data used in the updated WRF model and its effect on albedo and surface skin temperature parameters have been investigated. In order to update the above data, the land use product of MODIS satellite is used at a resolution of 500 meters. Simulations have been carried out for the northwestern region of Iran, which has witnessed the drying of Lake Urmia in recent decades. It is believed that due to the passage of time and changes in land use in this area, especially the decrease of Lake Urmia water level, we can see significant changes in surface parameters around the Lake Urmia. Examining the results of the model has confirmed this suspicion.
