Although the government has tried to deal with the earthquake crisis by implementing numerous programs, unfortunately the psychological and social damage caused by the earthquake has received less attention. Observing the devastating effects of the earthquake has raised concern among the public and the question of why the earthquake in Richter in Japan has far less casualties than the earthquake in Richter in Iran is due to the psychosocial damage caused by the earthquake Admittedly, the mental health and behavioral problems of people who have lost their loved ones and possessions in the earthquake and are afraid to continue living without the emotional and financial resources and their social impacts should be taken into consideration. This study examines the importance of measures taken to reduce psychosocial trauma in Iranian society before and after the earthquake and finally assesses the shortcomings and actions needed to improve the status quo in Iran.
