Abstract
In this study, the effects of two mobile source emission reduction scenarios of RES (Refining Equipment Scenario) and FUS (Fleet Upgrade Scenario) on the monthly average concentrations of CO and NO2 pollutants were compared with BAU scenario using the International Vehicle Model (IVE) and the WRF/SMOKE/CMAQ simulation system for January 2018, 2023 and 2028 emissions. Through simulations, over monthly average surface concentration urban area of CO and NO2, maximum monthly concentrations per domain grid, are decreased by (31%, 2.5%), (53 %, 5.6%) and (54%, 6.2%) in 2018, 2023 and 2028 under RES scenarios and under FUS scenarios, by (18%, 1.8%), (26%, 3%) and (24%, 3.8%) and in 2023 and 2028, respectively. On the other hand, the study of PM2.5 contaminant concentrations in critical weather conditions in January showed that the scenario of RES in 2028 could have the best effect in reducing the hourly concentration of this pollutant, and between 30 and 50 percent of the hourly concentration compared to the BAU scenario Reduce in this scenario.
