Study and analysis of fractures by using image logs of OBMI and UBI

چکیده
Accurate information on layering coordinates, coordinates, abundance, distribution and closeness or openness of fractures are of particular importance in study of tanks and making decision about production procedure. In carbonated tanks, study of fractures is important as they have crucial impact in porosity and permeability of stones and facilitate fluid movement. Even very small fractures could have profound effect on permeability and knowledge on their patterns and distribution in the field would allow correct design of well sites for increasing the production and maximum efficiency of the tanks and also reducing the costs. This study, in addition to obtaining the mentioned information about tank structure in the wells, attempts to present other observable complications on UBI (Ultrasonic Borehole) and OBMI (oil base mud imager). Generally, OBMI is suitable for determination of structural slope and precipitated structures, while UBI suits for fracture determinationThe water-based drilling mud must FMI and oil-based mud of the two complementary devices OBMI,UBI used.
