Torud is located about 409 km east of Tehran and 175 km from Semnan. Most of the magmatic activity in this area is related to the second and third periods of geology. In general, mineralization in this area follows the fracture system and the fault direction of the region. High chargeability and low resistivity of sulfide ore deposits have caused that be appeared as specific anomaly in Geoelectrical measurements. Due to the properties of copper electrical conductivity and with using from geology of the region and combining Geoelectrical methods (induced polarization and resistivity), an area was studied that led to the identification of promising points for exploratory drilling.
